OW alumni Victor Koroli wins the small alumni grants to implement the ”IT solutions for local public administration” project in Telenești

Open World 2011 alumni Victor Korol was one of the winners of the U.S. Embassy in Moldova previous round of grants for alumni and is currently working on his "IT Solutions for local public administration" project. In 2010 70.4% of local government paper work in Telenesti, subject to administrative control of legality, was submitted over the due date, thus exceeding the legal limit. This indicator is the worst in the country, with the exception of Gagauzia. Mr Koroli's project aims to offer IT solutions to local public administration to increase the efficiency and transparency of the 32 administrative units in Telenesti . The project will last for three months - March 1 to May 31, 2012.

Expected results:
- training 64 staff members in the IT management of legal documents (4 seminars and practical workshops )
- training 8 staff members in blog management ,
- publishing 3 blogs for mayors on a competitive basis,
- putting together a database of district Telenesti.

The project will be promoted through a live radio show ​​, an educational CD and a round table evaluation .
