The Individual Grant Award to implement the “A visit card for Cahul Rayon” Project

Upon return, Nicolae Dandis, Open World Alumnus of 2009, one of the local councilors of Cahul town became very involved in the USG Alumni Community, he participated in various activities such as Project Writing, Fundraising and Regional Alumni meeting organized by the Alumni Resource Center. So when he applied for the grant offered by the U.S. Embassy Alumni Small Grants Program, all these credentials were taken into consideration.
His project "A visit card for Cahul Rayon" stirred the interest because it deals with promotion of rural regions such as Cahul rayon. The main goal is to attract tourists to less know regions - villages of Cahul rayon. The objectives of the project are photographing of sites, description of their historical importance to their region, creation of brochures and photo cards about each site - approximately 300 of each and then distributed among the partners of the project such as city halls, Cultural House and the school
The project should be implemented starting with June and until August 2010
