SOROCA- TOURIST ROUTE

During my visit to USA (September-October 2009), I had the opportunity to find out more ways of promoting towns with tourism potential. Therefore, together with the partners of the project I decided to implement some of the models and experience gathered as part of the "Open World" project in USA. We are planning to realize the project for a period of 6 months, the aim of which will be increasing the number of tourists visiting Soroca, through improving the region's tourism potential and promoting the image of its historical and cultural objectives. The project is going to contribute to a sustainable basis for the external and internal tourism in Soroca.

MAIN TOURIST SIGHTSEEINGS INTENDED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT:
1. Soroca Fortress
2. River Nistru
3. Gratitude Candle
4. Cosăuţi Monastery
5. Rudi Monastery
6. Struve Geodetic Point
7. Bechir Bridge
8. Gypsies' Hill
9. Extra-urban rest area
10. Museum of History and Ethnography of Soroca

We will complete the project by organizing the Republican Forum: "Soroca- tourist area, current situation and perspectives". Among our guests will be the US Embassy, Alumnae Councils, Open World Program, Local Public Authorities, Mass Media, partners of the project, civil society.
Implementing the project "Soroca- tourist area" is an essential goal. The project's activities will lead to spreading the information about Soroca to a wider public, both at a national and international level.
