Open World Expansion Country Hosting Program: Moldova

September, 3 2008

The professional exchanges through the Open World Leadership Center provide Keystone with the opportunity to share knowledge, expertise and important cultural perspectives with human service leaders from Eurasia and the Baltic States. By developing a network of leaders who have gained an understanding of how American communities address challenges, these professional exchanges build mutual understanding between visiting professionals and their American hosts and counterparts and lay the foundation for collaborations and cooperation between human service leaders across the globe.

We hosted our first delegation from Moldova in 2008, which focused on Public Health – Primary Health Care System Reform. Recently, Moldova has been reforming its healthcare and human services sectors, and the professional exchanges provide Moldavian professionals with the opportunity to learn about ideas and practices they can adapt to their work in their own country.
