FLEX Moldova alumni selected to attend Civic Education Workshop in Washington

The volunteer evaluation committee in Washington, D.C. has selected 6 FLEX 2012-2013 Moldovan students: Gustiuc Olga,Toncu Violeta, Ciuperca Vladislav, Staicov Evgheni, Biciuc Valentina, Cuzminschi Marina as participants in this year's Civic Education Workshop.


The workshop will take place in Washington, D.C. from March 17-23, 2013. Participation in this program is funded by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Throughout the week, participants will take part in seminars on the U.S. system of government and discussions with representatives of civic organizations and the media. Students will have a chance to meet with FLEX alumni to learn what they have done since returning home and how their FLEX exchange experience has influenced their careers and lives today.

The selection process for this program was highly competitive. There were over 450 applications among the 2012-2013 FLEX students for approximately 100 slots;
