PFP alumnus Vladimir Palamarciuc Addresses Moldova's Legal Professionals on Their Official Holiday Celebration

Chisinau, Moldova - Since 2000, by Presidential Decree, the official holiday of the legal profession in the Republic of Moldova is celebrated on the 19th of October. With this occasion, practitioners, representatives of the profession, professors and students gathered at the Palace of the Republic for a festive congress on Friday. The event was also attended by the Prime Minister of Moldova Iurie Leanca, the Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim and the President of the Moldova Bar Association Gheoghe Amihalachioaie.


PFP alumnus Vladimir Palamarciuc gave a speech at the event on behalf on the younger generation of lawyers. As a member of the Board of the Union of Moldovan Lawyers, the largest NGO of the legal profession, and Chair of the Moldovan Bar's Young Lawyers Association, Vladimir took the time to congratulate his colleagues and underline the pressing issues and challenges of the profession in Moldova. He pointed to the important economic function of lawyers, the necessity to reform the procedure of admission into profession and the continuing education, as well as to promote ethics and cooperation among the generations of professionals.
