US Embassy and RELO Organized a 2-day Training for 4 Novice Access Teachers

November, 16 2013

One of the main goals of the Access Microscholarship Program is to provide its students and teachers, the possibility of constant development. In order to offer our new Access teachers from Straseni, Orhei and Ialoveni, as well as our Skype teacher the opportunity to share their knowledge and to gain new experience, they were invited to attend a training organized by the US Embassy in Moldova and Regional Language Office from Kiev, US Department of State.
Here they had the chance to meet two professors from the USA- Michael Martucci, the English Language Fellow in Ukraine/Donetsk and Omeed Aminian, the English Language Fellow at "Alecu Russo" Balti State University. Topics related to new trends in teaching the new generation of students were touched upon. Our teachers discussed about the problems they encounter in class, their teaching methods, found out new things about educational systems from other cultures and some new activities that they might implement. They also received some useful materials that they can use in their classes.
This training was not beneficial only from the professional point of view. It created the favorable circumstances for the teachers from different sites to meet each other and to find out interesting things about the other members of the Access family and their activity, this fact being a big plus for further collaboration. It definitely increased the consolidation of our community.
