Training for New Access Program Teachers from Moldova

To promote the Access philosophy and to keep teachers updated with all up-to-date techniques to use in Access classes the American Councils of Moldova organized a workshop for local teachers and teacher's assistants. discussing topics regarding the Access instructive approaches, such as Project-based Instruction, Content-based Instruction and Internet-based Instruction through developing English communicative, intercultural, civic, and digital skills of the students.

 

This way, there were discussed: "Ice Breakers" and "Communicative Activities for Oral Fluency", "Developing EFL Literacy Through Project-Based Learning", "Teaching Teenagers", "Learning Styles and Multiple Intelligence", "Bloom's Taxonomy: the three types of learning", "Developing Writing Competences", and "Evaluation within Access classes".

 

Also, each Access teacher has the opportunity to share her personal experience in designing a creative lesson plan, using new methods and techniques.

On April 22, Access Students from Taraclia had organized a GYSD project for their community, in order to do that, they have invited NSLI-Y students to join them into city quest and they have planted red flowers in the shape of a ribbon to create an HIV/AIDS awareness campaign.
Access Students from all over Moldova had the chance to visit the office of the online library Bestseller where they met Ion Bargan, the founder.
The last weekend of March was a productive one for Access teachers and assistants. During two days, teachers had the chance to work with International professionals in the field of project development and community service from AIESEC.
