1) Thank -you letter to the Ambassador:
After the US Ambassador visit to Access-Ungheni we discussed with all other sites, including Ungheni as well, the feedback posted on US Embassy facebook page, sharing with all the impressions the guests and the students had after this meeting. Besides, all students decided to show their gratitude for the existence of such a program as Access is and wrote THANK-YOU LETTERS addressed to our official guest, in which they share their experience as Access students, the possibilities the program opens and offers for them, their activities within the program, etc.
2) US Fulbright group visit to Access site
March, 20- a Fulbright Scholar (Chris Kelley) and a group of 5 law students and the Dean of the Law Department of Arkansas university - Stacy Leeds visited Access-Ungheni for learning more about educational perspectives in exchange programs. For this reason, they organized a Question and Answer session during which they discussed with the teenagers varied topics from daily favorite activities, most accessed social collaborative networks till the problems of educational system of Moldova, perspectives for students from abroad to study in the USA, problem of migration in the US, and the US Indian history and civilization.
3) March Online project:
"The Earth full of Rights"
a)Familiarizing students with human rights and children's rights, based on the Declaration of Human Rights and The Declaration of Children's Rights.
b)Familiarize students with government and non-government organizations protecting human rights in Moldova;
c)Case studies on Human rights violation in Moldova
d)Creating own NGO and advertise it online, using www.band-flyer.com, www.tinypic.com and www.glogster.com Each online poster has to include: NGO's name, the address, goals, activities and partners.
e) Developing a list of adolescents' rights and publish online a digital book on "Adolescent's Rights".
4) iEARN activity:
March: receiving postal packages from other iEARN members within the cycle: Me and My Community.
1. Slovenia, Russia and Serbia.
5) To provide the selection of the most diligent Access students( the prize for the winners is the lunch with the US Ambassador) it was developed an evaluation procedure made of 3 steps:
a) an Essay contest on "How may the experience of visiting the US Ambassador influence me?', which will be checked by an Independent Commission made of ALC teachers. .
b) the students' attendance at Access classes;
c) the students' progress along the Access courses.
