RELO John Silver Visits Access Moldova

October, 22 2016

In October, 2016, the new Regional English Language Officer from the U.S. Embassy, Kiyv, John Silver visited Moldova. Willing to meet the youth from our country who were selected to benefit from the Access micro-scholarship, he paid a visit to the Access groups from Anenii Noi and Balti. He learned about how the program works in our country from the inside, monitoring and observing lessons. He also interacted with the students and talked to them about his job, the USA and their Access experience. In addition to that, he talked to the Access teachers and teacher assistants about the challenges they face and how they manage to deal with them. The Access students were very excited to meet the new RELO and to chat with him.

The Access teachers and teaching assistants were also invited to a reception organized in John Silver's Honor where they met many interesting and active people from other country. This was a one of a kind event given that Access instructors who worked in the program in different years could meet each other, discuss about their experience and about how the program has evolved throughout the years.
